Digital Marketing and Content Lead (Freelance)

Location: Preferably South West UK (remote with occasional in person days in Gloucestershire)

iMaintain is a fast growing startup building innovative software for the manufacturing sector. Our mission is to help engineers work smarter by transforming the knowledge already within factories into shared intelligence. As we scale, we are looking for a freelance Digital Marketing and Content Lead to strengthen our brand, expand our reach, and support our commercial growth.

About the role

This is a hands on role focused on driving high quality digital marketing outcomes. You will be responsible for managing and optimising our core acquisition channels, creating compelling content, and supporting the founders with marketing activities as the business grows.

Initially, the role will focus on:

• SEO strategy and execution
• Paid advertising across Google, LinkedIn and Facebook (essential)
• Campaign setup, optimisation and reporting
• Landing page performance and conversion improvements
• Content creation for social media, email and website
• Attending meetings and events to capture content of the founding team (requires a strong creative eye)

As the company evolves, this position will expand to include wider brand, product and growth marketing responsibilities, offering significant room to grow alongside the business.

What we are looking for

Essential experience

• Proven experience running paid campaigns across Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads and Facebook Ads
• Demonstrable SEO experience, including keyword strategy, on page optimisation and performance tracking
• Strong understanding of digital funnels, attribution and data driven optimisation
• Ability to create high quality content for LinkedIn and other digital channels
• Confidence capturing content at events and meetings (both planned and ad hoc)

Nice to have (but not essential)

• Experience working in a startup environment
• Exposure to manufacturing, engineering or industrial technology sectors
• Understanding of B2B SaaS or technical products
• Ability to support on light design or video editing

This role is ideally suited to someone based in the South West, as you will occasionally join the founders in Gloucestershire or nearby areas for content capture, meetings and events.
