Here at Imaginera, we create solutions to meet our client challenges across a focused marketplace of Insurance, Reinsurance and Insurance Linked Securities. We set ourselves apart from our competition by being at the top of our game with the unique ability to also communicate directly with our clients, understanding their complex business requirements. Having spent eight years creating bespoke solutions for our clients, we then diversified into a consultancy and product business. Our first product, Orca, went live in Autumn 2020 and has a busy roadmap ahead of it. We are a vibrant company with around 70 employees. Our journey so far has been an exciting and fast one – we don’t have any plans to slow down, and are now searching for an experienced Senior Sales Manager with an established network in the (re)insurance market to join our team. So, if you’re excited by growth and opportunity and want to be a part of it, we would love to hear from you.
The Role
The Senior Sales Manager at Imaginera will originate and close high‑value opportunities with reinsurance and speciality insurance clients. This is a senior individual‑contributor role covering Imaginera’s product, services and consultancy lines, leading complex enterprise sales cycles with multiple stakeholders and long timelines. You will generate leads, run product demonstrations, manage RFPs and negotiations, and ensure a high‑quality handover into delivery and CX. Supported by a Sales Associate for coordination, you retain accountability for pipeline, forecasting and outcomes. The role suits an experienced commercial professional who has prior experience selling into specialty insurers and reinsurers; someone credible with senior buyers, comfortable navigating ambiguity, and able to articulate value in the context of large‑scale.
Responsibilities
- Pipeline Ownership & Business Development: Develop opportunities through network, outbound activity, events and partners; build senior stakeholder relationships across underwriting, operations, finance, IT and transformation. Maintain accurate CRM forecasts and work closely with CX post‑sale to support account growth (expansion opportunities and renewals where applicable).
- Enterprise Sales & Opportunity Leadership: Lead complex enterprise sales cycles with multiple stakeholders, ensuring momentum and clear next steps. Run structured discovery and shape the proposition across products, delivery services and consultancy, coordinating internal SMEs as required.
- Product Demonstration & Solution Shaping: Plan and deliver product demonstrations tailored to client context and maturity. Translate product capabilities into clear business value for non‑technical stakeholders. Work with Technical Delivery to ensure solutions are viable and compelling, and feed market insights back into Product Management. Lead responses to RFPs and formal procurement processes, coordinating inputs and timelines. Shape win strategy, commercial narrative and pricing; lead negotiation with support from senior leadership where required. Ensure a clear, structured handover to Delivery and CX teams at close, including scope, assumptions, commercial terms, success measures and account context.
- Market Insight & Thought Leadership: Maintain knowledge of the London Markets landscape (regulatory context, operating models and transformation trends) to inform targeting and outreach. Represent Imaginera credibly with clients, partners and at industry events.
