Imagine Mentoring and Support Ltd are looking to grow our dedicated staffing team to care for and support young people, aged 8-18, in our Residential children’s home setting. Team Leaders are required to work within the Gloucestershire area, have at least two years’ experience of working with children, hold a QCF Level 3 in children and families (or equivalent) and be committed to safeguarding.

As a Team Leader you will be expected to support the management team by taking the lead on shifts and supporting the staffing team to provide an excellent level of care to the children we care for. You will also be expected to support in upholding our Good Ofsted rating, aspiring towards excellence in our homes. You will be a part of a committed and resilient staffing team who deliver a therapeutic model of care in line with good practice, policy and procedure and the Children’s Home Regulations (2015).

The role will also include delegating and taking accountability for oversight of tasks, key working, risk assessing and making clear records. Successful candidates must be flexible and have a kind, caring and patient attitude.

  • The candidate must have at least two years’ previous experience of working in a children’s home setting or similar
  • The candidate must have a full driving licence and be willing to provide proof of business insurance
  • The candidate will be subject to part of safer recruitment checks and must have a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check
  • The candidate must demonstrate a commitment to promoting equality, be non-discriminatory and be willing to promote anti-oppressive practice
  • The candidate must be willing to promote the independence and safety of all the families, children, and young people that we work with
  • The candidate must be willing to take part in our On-call rota
