Coventry based The Senior Event Manager will support the project team in the development and delivery of logistics projects including proposals, project delivery, budgets and schedules. You will take the lead in delivering projects and collaborate on larger more complex projects. This role will be client facing and will include building new relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of project execution and supplier management.
  • Develop project proposals, write effective, compelling project briefs, presentations and working documents.
  • Developing timelines, project proposals and running projects.
  • Demonstrate financial responsibility through effective proposal costing, budget development and timely reconciliation.
  • Develop and write project briefs, proposals and presentations.
  • Delegate to, manage and oversee team and resource.
  • Maintain and develop client and supplier relationships.
  • Understanding clients, competition and strategy.
  • Ensuring schedules are adhered to and project documentation is complete.
  • Demonstrate understanding of services and be able to sell these effectively.
  • Demonstrate successful onsite management and delivery ensuring projects reflect briefs and meet objectives.
  • Mentor junior team members.
  • Willing and able to travel internationally for work, and from time to time work unsociable hours (inc. weekends) for extended periods.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Solid experience delivering and managing global projects within events, conferences or brand experience within an agency environment.
  • Good interpersonal, presentation, relationship building and negotiation skills.
  • Experience and ability to manage large scale budgets.
  • People management experience.
  • Capable of devising and implementing revenue-generating projects.
  • Experience with delegate management systems.
