The Event Manager will support the project team in the development and delivery of logistics projects including proposals, project delivery, budgets and schedules. This role will be client facing and will include building new relationships. Events will range from high-profile launch events, retailer training, awards, conferences, as well as smaller hosted media and influencer events. The role will work within a team to oversee the day-to-day planning and successful delivery of these types of events.
Key Responsibilities
- Support event execution on-site and third party management.
- Understanding clients, competitors, market, products and strategy.
- Preparation of event documentation, proposals and schedules.
- Develop financial awareness and consolidate project costs and budget management.
- Liaising directly with clients and suppliers to negotiate timelines and rates.
- Work with teams to plan wider resources effectively. Ensuring schedules are adhered to and project documentation is complete.
- Mentor and develop junior team members.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Previous experience in events, conferences and travel ideally within an agency environment.
- Good interpersonal, presentation, relationship building and negotiation skills.
- Experience and ability to manage large scale budgets.
- People management experience.
