Our productions cover online/social content, commercials, television and documentaries. Our clients include global brands such as Channel 4, BBC, Sony, Panavision and Netflix. Our services include concept development, pre-production, filming and editing.
The Role
We are looking for a highly creative and experienced Senior Video Editor to lead and elevate ImageNova's post-production output. While editing excellence is at the core of this role, we are particularly interested in candidates who can also bring strong motion graphics, animation, and design skills to help expand our creative offering. This role combines exceptional editing ability with confident leadership, strong creative judgement, and client-facing experience. You will work closely with our internal production team and clients to shape projects throughout the post-production process - from first assembly through to final delivery. This will involve leading the post-production workflow, allocating resources and managing team capacity across multiple projects to ensure deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are met. This is a key senior role within the company, with opportunities for progression and a clear route towards a future 'Head of Post-Production' position.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Edit a wide range of video content to an exceptional standard using Adobe Premiere and the wider Adobe Creative Suite, including colour grading and sound mixing.
- Lead our post-production delivery, acting as a key liaison for clients to manage feedback rounds, amends, approvals, and delivery schedules, ensuring a smooth and professional experience.
- Lead the in-house editing team, maintaining consistency and efficiency across projects.
- Review production and post-production output to ensure all work meets the highest creative and technical standards.
- Work closely with the Head of Video to review internal output and raise the quality and creative standards of our work.
- Provide constructive feedback and creative oversight to editors and production during internal reviews.
- Contribute creatively during pre-production and help to shape narratives before crafting the resulting footage into engaging and impactful films.
- Provide on-set support to our internal production crew if required, assisting across specific productions to ensure smooth and successful delivery.
- Work alongside the Senior Producer to manage editing schedules, workloads, project timelines, and final deliveries.
- Contribute creatively to upcoming productions, treatments, pitches, and new business opportunities.
- Help strengthen and develop relationships with existing clients while identifying new creative opportunities and video solutions.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- An outstanding editing portfolio demonstrating high-level creative and technical ability.
- Expert knowledge of Adobe Premiere, After Effects and the wider Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong colour grading experience in either Adobe Premiere Pro and/or DaVinci Resolve.
- Strong candidates will include those with Adobe After Effects skills, with the ability to create and work within complex, multi-layered compositions using expressions, animation systems and structured project workflows.
- Experience with 3D tools such as Blender, Cinema 4D, Unreal Engine or similar is desirable but not essential.
- Exceptional storytelling instincts, with a strong understanding of narrative structure, pacing, rhythm and emotion to create engaging content that connects with audiences.
- Proven experience leading or mentoring creative teams.
- Strong client-facing and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate confidently and professionally at all levels.
- Excellent communication, written, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work proactively, manage deadlines and maintain high standards under pressure.
- Some production experience required - ability to work in a small or larger complex production team on set/location/studio.
- Full UK driving licence.
WORKING HOURS, PATTERNS AND ENVIRONMENT
8 hour days (flexible working hours available). Office hours are 10am – 6pm, Monday-Friday. Flexible hours are always offered, subject to work deadlines. Our ideal candidate will be Midlands-based. As the role involves working with our in-house team, reviewing internal edits and working with the editors, we expect the candidate to work from the Leicester office 2-3 times per week, although remote working solutions are offered and we are happy to negotiate these terms. The Leicester office is available 24 hours a day. Additional hours may be required when working off-site at shoots or meeting deadlines.
