EMBL-EBI’s imaging resources (the BioImage Archive and EMPIAR) are recruiting a BioImaging Bioinformatician (similar to a data scientist role). We’re looking for somebody who can work with experimental and imaging scientists, machine learning/AI experts, and software developers. You’ll develop standards and tools used by tens of thousands of researchers, guide depositors, and shape the future of the archive.
We work to make the world’s bioimaging data FAIR and open, at multi-petabyte scale. We’re particularly excited about cross-modality data, like spatial transcriptomics, and emerging imaging types with high potential reuse value like volume EM and cryoET.
Applications close 23rd November. Feel free to get in touch if you’d like to find out more, and please do pass this message on to anyone you think might be interested. We have a great work environment, a beautiful campus near Cambridge in the UK, and we’re building something truly extraordinary. Come work with us!
