As a Puzzle Level Designer working in a cross-functional team, you will play a key role in the development and delivery of new and exciting experiences for our players. We’re looking for a data-driven, creative and highly motivated Level Designer to help drive the development of a flagship puzzle title in Tencent’s portfolio.

  • Create and have impact over the day-to-day level design for a key puzzle title.
  • Be key in helping us establish level design best practice guidelines and workflows.
  • Work side by side with the design talents from our partner studios to be a creative expert for new levels.
  • Collaborate with Tencent's data analysts and business teams to keep the game feeling fresh for users.
  • Work on games experienced by millions of users daily, and have real impact over the game direction.

Who We Look For

  • 3-5 years of experience on both Unity and In-House level creation tools and casual level design background.
  • Understand the sprint cycle for a casual puzzle game, and can explain in detail the processes associated with creating and maintaining these games.
  • Proven experience working on a live title and can show your work and your level designs.
  • Experience using both qualitative and quantitative data to improve level designs.
  • Self-confidence and the experience to self-manage and self-motivate.
  • A passion for puzzle and casual gaming, with your finger on the pulse of the industry.
  • Articulate with strong English written and verbal communication skills.
  • An ability to take complex level design issues and simplify them for non-designers.
  • An ability to use broad data and individual level KPI’s to drive design decision making.

Bonus Skills

  • Skilled in SQL or Python.
  • A passion for Game Design and feature work.
