We are looking for a passionate, trend-aware, and strategically minded Senior Packaging Designer to work in our specialist branding and design agency, Chilli. In this role, you will inspire others with your creative thinking and leadership. As our Senior Packaging Designer, you will report to the Creative Director within Chilli. You will be a key driver of creative development, ensuring that every project—from standalone packs to complex brand identity systems—is supported by a strong strategic rationale and flawless execution.
What You'll Be Doing- You will demonstrate good conceptual and creative thinking in your work while supporting your ideas with strong rationale.
- You will create multiple design options that are all on brief and delivered on time.
- You will introduce your own ideas and direction where possible and present creative concepts to internal teams in a thoughtful and articulate manner.
- You will confidently present and sell your work to Design Directors and Creative Directors as well as clients.
- You will be involved in pitch presentations when required.
- You will foster an open forum of creativity within the team.
- You will work at a pace that allows time for development and reviewing before final deadlines.
- You have proven experience of delivering and winning client pitches.
- You are able to set key visuals for packaging, brand logo and visual identity work, showing strong conceptual and creative thinking.
- You have excellent knowledge and awareness of brands and branding strategy.
- You possess a good grounding in design principles.
- You have the ability to design and create a brand identity system and comprehensive guideline documents for others to follow.
- You are able to articulate concepts and ideas to the wider team and clients, your ideas shine through and are delivered with compelling rationale.
