Our mission is to enable senior executives to develop and strengthen personal, long-term business relationships through high-level events. The GRI Club has a very fast-paced and international company with over 13 nationalities across the London office, which is based at an authentic and dynamic WeWork building. We also have offices in Brazil, Mexico, and India.

Job Description

The successful candidate will demonstrate a methodical approach to pipeline building and have a good understanding of how to manage the sales process. The professional will work directly with the Director, Germany, concentrating on the direct acquisition of new high-value clients for our global organization. The role offers high exposure to senior decision-makers both by phone and in person and the opportunity to develop transferable business skills. The company's approach is entirely different from other conventional conference companies, producing exclusively high-level events where everyone pays to participate in a unique event format that allows participants to engage meaningfully and get the most out of relationship opportunities. Fluency in written and spoken German and English is required, and any additional languages will be a distinct advantage.

The Role

  • Identify new potential customers and build a solid pipeline to be approached.
  • Sell delegates, co-chairs, and memberships for the events and the Club over the phone and eventually face-to-face.
  • Be part of developing the commercial strategy for the club in your territory.
  • Help produce high-quality real estate investor forums by confirming a programme of paying senior principals (100+ appearing on each programme).
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of your markets and customers, focusing on developing a strong network.

Key Performance Indicators

  • Financial performance of the club in your territory, comprising event and membership revenue and conferences.
  • Feedback and satisfaction of your customers.
  • In-depth understanding of your market and customer knowledge, and subsequent ability to identify and capitalize on opportunities whilst avoiding/mitigating challenges.
  • Quality and quantity of your key relationships, both internal and external.
  • Quality and quantity of your contribution to the wider team and to the company.
  • Consistency and reliability of your activity reporting.

Remuneration & Benefits

  • Basic salary with an aggressive commission scheme depending on performance.
  • Annual leave entitlement starts at 23 days per year with an additional day for each year of service, up to a maximum of 26 days.
  • Health and dental insurance after the 1st year at the company.
  • Stakeholder pension scheme.

The Candidate

Suitability

  • Degree/Masters engaged in current affairs.
  • Superior computer literacy, creative and up to date with current technology.
  • Ready and eager to globe-trot.
  • Fluency in English and German is mandatory.

Qualifications

  • Enthusiasm: a proactive, constructive and solution-focused approach, together with personal pride in one’s work and the desire to carry out a job well for its own sake.
  • Energy: an energy radiator (rather than an energy drain) who constantly adds value to those around them.
  • Edge: emotionally intelligent, resourceful and astute, with strong commercial acumen.
  • Execution: well organized and self-disciplined, with a focus on getting things done.
  • Customer focus: a drive to continually improve the value and experience delivered to our customers, whilst maintaining high standards of professionalism and pleasantness in all interactions with them.
  • Languages: The global nature of our business means that an additional fluent language would be an advantage, whilst English is a must.
