Summary
We’re looking for a responsible and committed individual to join our export packing team. You should have a good understanding of securing cargo, including awareness of the centre of gravity. Experience in export packing is ideal, but a background in the exhibition, warehouse, or events industry is also highly valued. We offer strong incentives and a good package to make this a rewarding role.
Role overview
The role involves building timber crates, using power tools and securely packing a range of goods ready for international shipping. As an Export Packer, you’ll play a key part in preparing equipment for transport, including wrapping, crating and securing cargo to meet international standards and client requirements. The role also involves travelling to various locations in the UK (and occasionally abroad), with some overnight stays required.
Key responsibilities:
· Pack, wrap, and crate goods for international shipment.
· Ensure items are secured properly, with awareness of weight distribution and centre of gravity.
· Use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment safely.
· Complete packing lists and basic shipping documentation.
· Travel to client sites and work independently or as part of a team.
· Load/unload shipments and support with logistics on-site.
Requirements :
· Familiarity with cargo security and packing methods.
· Ability to work away from home, including overnight stays.
· Physically fit and comfortable with manual labour.
· Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
· Experience in export packing or the exhibition/events industry is desirable.
· Full UK driving licence preferred.
