Location: Bursledon, Southampton, Hampshire

Days & Hours: 118 hours per 4‑week period: 30 hours of Team Leader duties (≈7.5 hrs/week) and up to 88 hours of support‑worker shifts. Some shifts include weekend work.

Pay: £18.48‑£19.63 per hour, depending on experience. Sleeping nights paid at National Living Wage plus £1 per hour.

Vehicle: Own vehicle required with business insurance; use on duty. Driving client’s car not required.

Key Focus: Supporting adults with seizures, learning difficulties and ABI in their own home.

Overview

Rosie is an independent adult living alone, with epilepsy, learning difficulties, visual impairment and a history of ABI. The Team Leader will assist Rosie to live fully and independently, handle 24/7 supervision and manage a team of 1:1 support workers.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and manage a team of 1:1 24/7 support workers: rotas, cover arrangements, inductions, appraisals, supervisions, training needs.
  • Ensure high‑quality, safe and effective care; handle on‑call duties.
  • Support Rosie with daily life‑skills, household chores, kitchen tasks, laundry and equipment maintenance.
  • Assist Rosie in community activities such as City Farm work, animal care, fitness and holiday visits.
  • Collaborate with the Case Manager; promote Rosie’s independence and learning.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience supporting adults with ABI, learning difficulties and/or seizures.
  • Background in care for adults with complex needs and safety awareness.
  • Excellent communication skills, patience, tact and compassion.
  • Ability to manage a small team and handle organisational tasks.
  • Valid UK work eligibility, satisfactory references and an enhanced DBS certificate.
