Our Test Department is responsible for carrying out testing on EV/ICE/Hybrid powertrains both for Ilmor and external customers. This is an opportunity to switch to a career in this field, learning from our expert Test Technicians and Engineers. You will work closely, and communicate effectively, with different people and departments to achieve the best outcome for each task and make improvements where identified.
You must be able to demonstrate:
· A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Mechanical role using a variety of hand tools.
· Good GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English grades.
· A basic understanding of base engine or EV powertrain operation.
· A methodical approach to problem solving.
· A good level of IT literacy, including a working knowledge of Excel.
· Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Combined with this experience, it is essential that you possess:
- Honesty and integrity.
- The ability to work effectively as an individual and as a member of a team, even when under pressure.
- Good organisational skills.
- Flexibility in order to meet tight deadlines.
- Willingness to work additional hours or undertake shift work to fulfil the project requirements.
- Strong communication skills in verbal and written formats.
