QUALITY INSPECTOR
At Ilmor, we specialise in the design, simulation, development and manufacture of powertrain systems, electronics, and software for Motorsport, Automotive and Marine applications. You would be working for a business which is highly invested in technology, at the forefront of engineering developments and in an environment which truly has a family feel and everyone knows your name.
We are looking for a Quality Inspector who will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet the established standards of quality, reliability, and performance. This role is crucial in maintaining the reputation of our company by ensuring that only top-quality products reach the customer.
You should be able to demonstrate:
Previous experience in quality control or inspection role.
The ability to work closely with production and engineering teams to discuss inspection results and improve product quality.
Proven ability to conduct thorough manual, CMM and scanning inspections of products and materials at various stages of production to ensure compliance with quality standards
An understanding of safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe work environment.
To ensure that all inspection equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
To accurately document inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizing re-work and waste and inputting data into quality databases.
Combined with this experience, it is essential that you possess:
- Honesty and integrity
- A time served apprenticeship or equivalent, in a related field is a plus.
- The ability to work effectively as an individual and as a member of a team, even when under pressure
- The ability to identify and resolve problems efficiently and effectively
- Structured approach to work with the ability and flexibility to meet tight deadlines
- Strong attention to details and a commitment to producing accurate and thorough work.
- Familiarity with quality control standards and methodologies.
- Good communication skills in verbal and written formats
