Summary

As COO, you will translate our bold vision into execution: processes and results. You will both drive long term strategic initiatives and oversee day-to-day operations, to ensure teams are structured, effective, and aligned for success. You will own cross-functional collaboration, track key milestones against the roadmap, lead team discussion and appraisal, and optimize internal processes to maximize efficiency and growth. Your role is pivotal in scaling the company, enabling the CEO to focus on external engagements while you build and refine the internal engine that drives illuminem forward.

What will you do?

Build & scale operations – structure and improve key business functions, ensuring seamless execution across Product, Data, and Tech teams.
Drive execution & accountability – track priorities, manage deliverables, report results, and enforce deadlines to keep the company on course.
Lead cross-functional collaboration – ensure smooth workflows and alignment between teams to maximize efficiency and innovation.
Optimize organizational effectiveness – improve internal processes, refine structures, and implement best practices for scalable growth.
Engage key stakeholders – work closely with investors, board members, and leadership to align operations with strategic goals.

What are we looking for?

Execution-driven mindset – ability to translate vision and strategy into results, by navigating constraints, adapting to shifting priorities, and driving execution with resilience and focus.
Built, led & scaled teams – at least 5 years in a senior execution role (ideally in tech), with proven experience in building, structuring, training and managing teams.
Strategic prioritization – sharp ability to assess and act on the highest-impact tasks, ensuring efficiency, focus and attention to detail.
Entrepreneurial resilience – ambitious, proactive, resilient, resourceful, and thrives in fast-moving environments where adaptability is key.
