A leading organisation in the energy transition is looking for an Industry Relations Manager to strengthen coordination across the sector as the smart energy rollout enters a pivotal new phase.
This role sits within a high‐profile Corporate Affairs function and acts as the organisation's primary link to the energy industry — ensuring suppliers, programme partners and wider stakeholders are aligned, informed and able to leverage research, insights and messaging frameworks. If you thrive at the intersection of industry engagement, sector intelligence and collaborative project delivery, this is a rare opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
What you'll be doing:
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with energy suppliers, programme partners and wider industry stakeholders
- Leading collaborative industry relations projects, managing scope, timelines and cross‐functional delivery
- Monitoring regulatory, policy, operational and technical developments — and translating them into clear, actionable insight
- Advising internal teams across Marketing, Communications, Corporate Affairs and Insights
- Representing the organisation at external meetings and forums, including preparing and delivering presentations
- Ensuring stakeholders have confidence in the quality, value and relevance of the organisation's work
- Line managing a Senior Industry Relations Officer, supporting their development and workload
What we're looking for:
- Strong relationship‐builder with experience engaging senior stakeholders
- Proven track record delivering effective stakeholder engagement programmes
- Ability to interpret complex regulatory, policy, commercial or operational information
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence
- Experience in a regulated sector (energy is beneficial but not essential)
- Someone who enjoys working cross‐functionally and shaping internal thinking
