Are you a skilled project officer passionate about equity and inclusion in the energy sector? A leading initiative driving gender balance and leadership diversity is seeking an Interim Project Officer to support the delivery of high-impact campaigns and stakeholder engagement.

About the Initiative

This professional programme works to advance gender diversity and inclusive leadership across the UK energy sector. Its mission: 40% of middle management and leadership roles held by women by 2030. It delivers change through sector-wide challenges, professional development programmes, and practical support for companies embedding inclusive practices.

The initiative maintains strong ties with government and is hosted by a respected professional membership body.

What You’ll Be Doing

Working closely with the programme’s Head, you’ll lead and support a range of activities, including:

• Coordinating a national alliance of women’s energy networks and its annual conference
• Supporting coaching events and senior stakeholder engagement
• Encouraging energy companies to run internal balance networks and mentoring programmes
• Managing website updates, communications, and GDPR-compliant databases
• Providing high-quality project support across events, campaigns, and strategic initiatives

What We’re Looking For

• Proven project management experience and ability to work independently
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Strong organisational, administrative, and IT capabilities (Office 365, CRM, Mailchimp, LinkedIn, etc.)
• A collaborative mindset and commitment to advancing female leadership in energy
• PRINCE II or similar certification is a plus, but not essential
