Recruiting on behalf of a leading consumer goods brand
About the Role
I’m supporting a well‑known consumer goods manufacturer with a strong presence across trade, wholesale and export channels. They’re looking for a B2B Sales Operations Coordinator to take ownership of the order‑to‑despatch workflow and ensure customers receive a smooth, accurate and reliable service. This is a hands‑on, process‑driven role where you’ll manage B2B orders end‑to‑end, co‑ordinate with internal teams, and help strengthen operational discipline as the business continues to scale.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing B2B/trade/wholesale orders from receipt through to despatch, ensuring accuracy at every stage.
- Entering and validating orders in Microsoft Business Central (or similar ERP).
- Confirming pricing, discounts, stock availability, allocations and lead times.
- Managing backorders, substitutions and customer expectations.
- Providing proactive customer communication: confirmations, ETAs, stock updates, tracking and PoD.
- Co‑ordinating closely with Sales, Warehouse, Operations and Finance to keep orders moving.
- Booking couriers/freight, arranging collections and preparing export documentation (training provided).
- Supporting credit control activity by liaising between Finance and Sales on overdue accounts.
- Maintaining high‑quality customer and account data across systems and portals.
- Following SOPs and contributing to continuous improvement to reduce errors, delays and rework.
- Supporting weekly reviews of exceptions (backorders, delays, repeated issues) and driving root‑cause fixes.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in B2B sales operations, order management, trade/wholesale support or customer service.
- Strong understanding of order flows, allocations, backorders and despatch processes.
- Confident communicator who can manage expectations professionally with customers and internal teams.
- Process‑minded, organised and comfortable working with SOPs, SLAs and continuous improvement.
- Strong Excel and Outlook skills; confident navigating multiple systems and portals.
- Experience with an ERP (Business Central ideal, but any modern ERP is fine).
- Exposure to export/shipping documentation is a bonus — training is available.
Why This Role?
- A respected, growing brand with loyal B2B customers.
- A role with real ownership across the full order‑to‑despatch cycle.
- A friendly, modern working environment with on‑site perks.
- Clear opportunities to shape processes and improve how the team operates.
- Free parking, company events, and development opportunities.
