Position Summary:

With the anticipated sequencing of hundreds of millions of genomes and exomes, Illumina seeks computational scientists to develop deep learning algorithms to interpret genetic variants. Key goals include modeling effects on protein function, transcriptional regulation, and diagnosing pathogenic variants in cancer and genetic diseases.

The role involves publishing research, improving genome interpretation, and collaborating scientifically. It requires analytical expertise, initiative, and teamwork.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop algorithms for deciphering the human genetic code and diagnosing pathogenic variants.
