About the Role
- Curate and manage Il Gattopardo’s wine selection, ensuring a premium and well-balanced offering.
- Provide expert guidance to guests, delivering an exceptional wine service experience that complements our modern Italian cuisine.
- Assist in maintaining the wine cellar, including stock control, storage, and inventory management.
- Train and mentor the front-of-house team on wine knowledge, service standards, and pairings.
- Collaborate closely with the Head Sommelier, bar team, and front-of-house staff to deliver excellence across the beverage program.
- Enhance guests’ dining experiences through your passion for wine, refined service, and deep product knowledge.
Key Criteria
- Have previous experience as a Sommelier or Assistant Sommelier in a high-end restaurant or luxury hotel environment.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of Italian wines and global wine regions; formal wine qualifications (WSET or equivalent) are preferred.
- Show a passion for hospitality and the ability to create engaging, informative, and memorable guest experiences.
- Possess excellent communication and teamwork skills, with confidence in collaborating effectively across restaurant and bar teams.
