Il Bistrotto is an Italian bistro in Chelsea, created in collaboration with Velier, one of the most respected names in the spirits world. We are an evening-only venue with a warm, vibrant atmosphere. We serve a menu of Italian tapas-style plates, designed for fast and energetic service. While this is a full Sous Chef role across all sections of the kitchen, the successful candidate will also need to be confident working in our bakery station, where we prepare our house‑made Focaccia al Formaggio — one of the highlights of our menu.
Responsibilities
- Support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations.
- Arrange stocks and support the head chef in creating recipes.
- Work efficiently across all stations, including assisting with focaccia production.
- Maintain excellent standards of quality, organization, and food safety.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong CDP ready to step up.
- Knowledge of Italian cuisine; confidence with doughs is a plus.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
