Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining good relations internal, external and with 3rd party contractor employees
- Ensuring the rendering of security service deliver in line with SOPâs
- Ensuring compliance and that all security officers meet contractual requirements as stipulated by the organization
- Identification and mitigation of risks
- Constantly evaluating the service levels provided and making recommendations to the client regarding the improvement of services
- General management and supervision of security staff and operations, including rosters and posting of staff
- Ensuring that all HR related queries are dealt with promptly
- Investigating incidents and investigations
- Attend meetings internal, external and with 3rd party contractor employees
- Compile weekly, monthly and annual site incident reports
- Control budget for security operations and monitor expenses
- Stores, stock and asset audits to verify stock and minimise theft
- Security service providers invoicing verification
- Rental machine hours verification
- Security infrastructure review and maintenance. Fulfil security operational expectations
Minimum requirements
- National diploma in security management will be an advantage
- Grade 12
- 5 yearsâ experience in a similar position in mining
- SAPS/Military experience an advantage
- Must be familiar with all legislation relating to the position
- Have investigating experience
- Firearm Police competency â Handgun/Shotgun
- Firearm training Handgun & Shotgun Business Purpose
- Familiar with MHSA and the control thereof
- Working knowledge of MS Office
- Excellent knowledge of security protocols and procedures
- Good interpersonal skills in order to liaise with client, community, SAPS and outside stakeholders
- Experience in crowd/strike control be an advantage
- PSIRA B grade or higher â Up to date PSIRA affiliating
- Experience using relevant technology and equipment (CCTV)
