London (Hybrid - 3 days in office)
Not every sales role starts with an empty CRM. We're working with one of the UK's most respected technology solutions providers as they continue to invest in their commercial team. They're looking for an experienced Account Director who enjoys winning new business but also understands the value of developing long-term customer relationships. You’ll inherit an established portfolio of accounts while being expected to identify and win new customers, giving you the opportunity to build a significant territory rather than starting from scratch. If you’re motivated by ownership, autonomy and the chance to build a high-performing desk with the backing of an exceptional technical and delivery team, this could be worth a conversation.
The Role
This is a genuine hybrid hunter/farmer position. You’ll take ownership of an existing customer base, developing relationships, uncovering new opportunities and increasing wallet share, whilst also creating and converting new logo opportunities across your territory. You’ll be supported by a highly regarded pre-sales, professional services and customer success function, allowing you to focus on what you do best—building relationships and winning business. You’ll be selling across a broad portfolio including:
- Modern Workplace
- Networking & Security
- Data Centre
- Managed Services
- Professional Services
- Software & Licensing
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing and growing an existing portfolio of customer accounts
- Developing account plans to maximise long-term revenue
- Winning new logo business through proactive prospecting and networking
- Leading opportunities from initial engagement through to close
- Working closely with technical specialists to deliver customer solutions
- Building relationships with senior IT and business stakeholders
- Creating a balanced pipeline across existing and new customers
We’re Looking For
You’ll likely come from an IT reseller, systems integrator or managed services background and have experience selling complex technology solutions into mid-market or enterprise organisations. We’re particularly interested in people who can demonstrate:
- A strong track record of exceeding sales targets
- Experience managing strategic customer accounts
- Proven new business capability
- Strong commercial and stakeholder management skills
- Experience selling multi-vendor technology solutions
- The ability to own opportunities from prospect through to close
Experience within Microsoft, Cisco or wider infrastructure ecosystems would be highly advantageous.
Why This Opportunity?
There are plenty of sales roles that promise opportunity. Few offer:
- Existing customer relationships to build upon
- Freedom to develop your own territory
- Strong technical and delivery support
- A respected brand with an excellent reputation
- Genuine earning potential without unrealistic expectations
- A collaborative culture where success is shared
If you’re looking for a role where you can balance account growth with winning new business—and want to join a business that invests in its people we’d love to hear from you.
