The Technology and Innovation team is a dynamic hub where creativity meets practical application and we\’re looking for bright minds to join us on our journey. Our team works to support the scope of our Chief Technology Officer and provide our company and industries with new tools and innovative solutions.

Our innovation activities revolve around five key areas: Generative AI, Virtual Reality, Condition Based Maintenance, Air Quality and Additive Manufacturing. But our team works in a multitude of other topics as well like corrosion, FEA, bespoke software tools, new technologies research and analysis…etc.

The Opportunity

We\’re seeking two enthusiastic students for a 12-month industrial placement within the IKOS UK Technology and Innovation team. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a forward-thinking environment and working on exciting projects, whilst developing professional skills that will set you apart in your future career.

What You\’ll Be Doing

You will be working directly with our CTO. Your tasks will include:

• Contributing to projects from concept to delivery
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop new solutions
• Conducting research and analysis to support decision-making
• Supporting the development and testing of new products/services
• Participating in innovation workshops and brainstorming sessions
• Preparing reports and presentations for stakeholders
• Learning about the latest trends and technologies

Essential Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a degree programme with a ‘year in industry’ in relevant subjects (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Natural curiosity and inquisitive mindset
• Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box
• Conscientious and hard-working
• Strong first principles thinking
