At IKON Training, we believe everyone deserves to feel safe and confident at work. For over 20 years, we’ve supported organisations across the UK, equipping their people with practical skills to manage conflict and challenging behaviour. We work closely with our clients, building long-term partnerships that create safer, more confident workplaces. We’re now looking for a Client Account Manager to join IKON at an exciting stage of growth. This is a revenue-owning role focused on growing and developing existing client accounts. You will be accountable for retaining and increasing revenue across your portfolio, ensuring training programmes are planned in advance, opportunities are actively progressed, and future activity is consistently secured. This is not a passive account management role. You will lead commercial conversations, challenge thinking where needed, and ensure no client is left without a clear next step. You will help clients translate their training needs into structured, forward‑looking plans that deliver ongoing value.
What you’ll be doing: As Client Account Manager, you will:
- Take ownership of a portfolio of client accounts, retaining and growing revenue within those accounts
- Lead commercial conversations and secure repeat business
- Build and maintain forward training plans (quarterly and annually)
- Identify and develop opportunities to grow accounts and extend programmes over time
- Track and re‑engage at‑risk clients before relationships stall
- Guide clients confidently on programme structure, timing and next steps
- Maintain accurate records and pipeline visibility in HubSpot (or similar CRM)
- Use insight from delivery, feedback and data to strengthen relationships and inform decisions
- Work closely with operations and training teams to ensure a consistent client experience
- Support marketing activity by helping facilitate case studies and PR opportunities
What we’re looking for: We’re looking for someone who enjoys building relationships and taking ownership. You will be confident in your communication, comfortable leading conversations, and motivated by seeing your work translate into meaningful outcomes for clients. You do not need a training background, but you do need to be commercially aware, proactive, and able to think ahead. You will notice opportunities, take initiative, and follow through.
Key skills include:
- Proven ability to grow and develop client accounts
- Confidence in leading commercial conversations and securing repeat business
- Experience in account management, client success or relationship management
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
- Strong organisation and attention to detail, with reliable follow‑through
- CRM experience (HubSpot or similar)
- Analytical mindset, able to interpret data and take action
You do not need a training background. You do need to enjoy ownership, client partnership, and doing work that creates real impact.
What you’ll get in return:
- A starting salary of £38,000 – £45,000 + performance bonus + benefits
- Business mileage and expenses paid.
- 22 days’ annual leave, plus 3 additional days at Christmas, and all bank holidays.
- Support for professional development and mentoring.
- Flexible working arrangements and a people‑first culture.
