Responsibilities:
- Performing laboratory tests to produce reliable and precise data to support Quality Assurance and New Product Development
- Carrying out routine tasks accurately and precisely
- Preparing specimens and samples; assembling, maintaining, and operating standard laboratory equipment
- Ensuring the laboratory is well-stocked and resourced
- Recording and interpreting results to present to senior colleagues, when required
- Using computers and performing simple mathematical calculations
- Keeping up to date with technical developments
- Maintain high housekeeping standards
- To work safely 100% of the time
- To ensure that all assigned work is delivered in a timely manner
- To communicate with both internal and external customers
- Any other roles & responsibilities as required by IKO
Candidate Profile:
- Excellent team working skills
- Strong communication skills
- Quality conscious and methodical approach to work, with excellent attention to detail
- Strong integrity
- Experience of working in a laboratory environment is desirable but not essential as full training will be given
- Flexible
- Ability to manage own workload and work effectively and efficiently to deadlines
