Mechanical Maintenance Technician
Location: IKO Glass Fiber Inc., Chester, SC Department: Maintenance Type: Full Time (FT/PT/Cont)

WHEN YOU JOIN US YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE TO;
- Inspect, maintain, and service mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment.
- Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance tasks to identify and address potential problems.
- Execute mechanical repairs and replacements, ensuring adherence to safety standards and regulations.
- Install, upgrade, or modify mechanical systems and equipment as needed.
- Keep comprehensive records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of mechanical maintenance tasks, including work orders and equipment manuals.
- Identify and diagnose mechanical problems using various tools and equipment.
- Determine the root cause of mechanical malfunctions and develop effective repair solutions.
- Interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to locate and rectify issues.
- Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to implement improvements and enhancements.
- Strictly adhere to safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures, to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and national mechanical codes and regulations.
- Other duties as required.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE;
- High School Diploma or equivalent: technical or vocational training in mechanical maintenance is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal and presentation), with the ability to effectively work with others in a team environment.
- Demonstrated initiative and the ability to handle complex assignments with a proactive attitude.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Maintenance technician or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, components, and diagrams
- Proficiency in using mechanical tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to emergency calls when necessary.
