The purpose of this position is to be a part of the maintenance & engineering department at the IKO Fiberglass Mat Plant in Chester, South Carolina. The primary function of this role is to safely maximize plant performance and run time through effective troubleshooting, adjusting, maintaining, calibration and repairing of manufacturing equipment and machinery throughout the production facility.

- Adhere to safety policies, programs, and procedures
- Complete health & safety pre-start checklists
- Ensure that products being produced meet established quality specifications
- Document quality checks at regular intervals
- Operate manufacturing equipment in accordance with established operating procedures
- Operate counterbalance, propane-powered forklift
- Document production numbers, items contributing to downtime (using computerized systems and hand-written production reports)
- General housekeeping duties
- Additional duties as assigned by Supervisory staff
- Able to work flexible, rotating production shifts 8/10/12 hours
- Minimum 2 yearsβ experience in heavy-industrial manufacturing or construction industry preferred
- Minimum 1 year of proven forklift operating experience preferred
- Comfortable with working in a dusty environment
- Manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Fluent in verbal and written English
- Ability to follow direction and specific instructions
- Good communication skills
- Ability to safely perform heavy lifting up to 50 pounds on a routine basis
- Comfortable with standing for extended periods of time
- Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces
- Must be able to walk and/or stand 90% of the shift
