At IKEA, we are working to make our products and services more accessible to customers. We are looking for planners to bring the ambience, inspiration and quality of the IKEA showroom directly into customers’ homes. If you would like to meet customers in their own homes and help them create kitchen, bedrooms and other modular furniture solutions with their individual needs in mind, then we are looking for you to join our team!
This role is fully field based, meeting customers in their homes, with the option of some administrative time working from home outside of business travel time. You may be required, on occasion and for training purposes to travel to an IKEA location.
WHAT WE OFFER- The Start Date of employment will be: June 2025
- The starting salary for this role is £30,000 per annum, based on skills and experience.
- Company car for business travel.
- Full Time: 39 Hours working 5 days per week including evenings and alternate weekends.
- Full training provided including 2 weeks in the Edinburgh store upon joining.

- Solid customer focus and ability to listen effectively and provide solutions.
- Experience in sales and design planning.
- Ability to manage your own diary and organise your workload.
- Comfortable meeting KPIs and securing sales conversions.
- High numeracy and ability to use digital tools and systems.
- Interest in home furnishing trends and sustainable solutions.
- Hold a valid driving licence for 2+ years.
- Book and manage customer appointments and follow up on requests.
- Showcase IKEA’s range and create tailored solutions.
- Stay up-to-updated on trends and customer needs to offer relevant solutions.
- Collaborate with in-store teams for support when needed.
- Visit customers’ homes to plan and design kitchens, bedrooms, and other IKEA modular furniture systems.
- Deliver KPI targets and conversion from appointment to sale.
- Guide customers through the full journey—from first contact to delivery and installation.
