IKEA Southampton are looking to welcome Food and Beverage Assistants to join our delightful and hardworking team. The contract is part-time, working 12 - 16 hours a week. Love food and providing good customer service? As a Food and Beverage Assistant, you will be immersed in both. If you thrive in a fast-paced and team-focused environment, this role will allow you to experience our wonderful everyday.
WHAT WE OFFER
- Start date of employment will be 26 and 27 July 2025.
- Hourly rate of Β£12.60 per hour.
- This role is 12 - 16 hours a week, and will include working 3 in 4 weekends a month. Availability to work one or two shifts through the week (Mon - Fri), including in the evenings, is required.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE
- Prior kitchen and catering experience is a plus, but not required if you are hands-on and willing to roll up your sleeves.
- Ability to work in an extremely fast-paced environment. You enjoy working in a busy role!
- Be self-reliant and motivated, ready to work independently and as part of our team.
- Enjoy serving our many customers, providing great customer service and a lovely Swedish meal.
- Ability to remain organised and detail-orientated, even when things get busy.
- Due to health and safety regulations, all applicants must be over the age of 18.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
- You will be preparing and making meals using our ovens and kitchen equipment to offer a taste of Sweden to our customers and co-workers.
- The kitchen is a safety-first, fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail for all things safety as well as efficient multi-tasking to ensure IKEA remains a safe place for people to shop, work and have fun.
- Serving customers, taking payment, and ensuring the restaurant and bistro areas are clean and a pleasant dining experience.
- Preparing for the next day's trade, as well as managing waste and working in a sustainable and cost-conscious way.
