IKEA Birmingham are looking to welcome Warehouse Assistants to join our hard-working fulfilment team.

As our warehouse assistant at IKEA you will be scanning, picking and handing out customer orders at the collection point.

WHAT WE OFFER

• Start Date of employment will be: 28th of June 2025
• Competitive hourly rate of £12.60ph + £2.25ph for any nightshift hours worked between 22.00pm and 6am.
•12, 16 and 20 Hours, working 2/3/4/5 days per week (dependent on contract size) and both weekend days. All our part time contracts will receive every 4th weekend off. Shifts will be between the hours of 4am until 22.30pm.

WHAT YOU\’LL NEED TO HAVE

• Previous warehouse experience is beneficial but not essential, all you will need is the motivation to make things happen in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to prioritise and organise your workload swiftly and with attention to detail.
• Proven experience in utilising technical equipment to enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Ensure you are prepared to initiate tasks on your own initiative and to participate actively in group efforts.
• Compliance with health and safety guidelines necessitates that applicants are 18 years of age or older

WHAT YOU\’LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

• Checking, scanning and handing out customers click and collect orders. Picking customer orders across the store ready for delivery or click and collect.
• Manual handling of heavy stock.
• Working with or around heavy machinery, such as, Forklift trucks, counterbalance, pump trucks, to safely and efficiently transport heavy goods within the warehouse.
• Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are followed for a secure environment for both our customers and co-workers.
