Overview

IKEA Peterborough CDC is looking for a Warehouse Assistant to join our full‑time fulfillment team. The role will work in a fast‑paced warehouse, handling goods, operating machinery and keeping the warehouse organised.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Receiving goods accurately, picking, packing orders and maintaining accurate stock records.
  • Manual handling of heavy stock and operating forklifts, counterbalance and pump trucks.
  • Ensuring all safety protocols and regulations are followed for a secure environment.

What You’ll Need

  • MHE/warehouse experience preferred but not essential; motivation and eagerness to learn.
  • Strong organisational skills, ability to prioritise, and keen attention to detail.
  • Self‑reliance, independence and a teamwork attitude.
  • Must be over 18 years of age due to health and safety regulations.

What We Offer

  • Start date: 19 Nov, 26 Nov or 3 Dec (to be confirmed in interview).
  • Competitive hourly rate of £12.60 + forklift allowance of £1.50.
  • 40 hours per week across 5 days; rotational shifts 06:00–14:00 and 14:00–22:00, including weekends.
