IKEA Birmingham is looking to hire a Visual Merchandiser to join their team.
A Visual Merchandiser at IKEA is responsible for designing store layouts, creating attractive displays, and collaborating with teams to enhance the customer shopping experience.
WHAT WE OFFER
- The start date of employment will be: September 2025
- Starting salary of £26,400 based on competence and experience
- 39 hours working 5 days per week, Monday to Friday, 7am – 3:45pm
- Availability to work 1 weekend in 15, with occasional late evening and early morning shifts for range changes throughout the year

WHAT YOU\’LL NEED TO HAVE
- Qualification or experience in a relevant creative field; graduates are welcome
- Knowledge of design software such as Autodesk REVIT, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office is preferred but not essential
- Excitement about home furnishings and design, with the ability to generate new ideas
- Hands-on approach, comfortable with hand tools and working at heights
WHAT YOU\’LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
- Use visual merchandising skills to enhance IKEA\’s store presentation solutions
- Understand the local market to implement relevant, inspiring, and affordable range presentations
- Collaborate with teams and act quickly to exploit commercial opportunities
- Work with the commercial calendar to implement range changes
- This role is approximately 20% planning and 80% implementation
