We're looking for a 'Van Loader' to join our Customer Fulfilment team. You will be crucial to our Last Mile Delivery operation, ensuring our customers receive their orders. In this role, you will be responsible for loading heavy, flat-packed IKEA items onto delivery vans. You will be moving between the warehouse and parked vans outdoors in all weather conditions come rain, snow, or shine! Working either alone or in pairs, you will load vans for your shift, so the ability to work efficiently and to tight deadlines is essential. Your effort directly ensures our customers get their beloved IKEA products on time. Due to Health & Safety restrictions for the working pattern of this role, all applicants must be over the age of 18.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • The Start Date of employment will be: 27th June 2026
  • Competitive hourly rate of £13.45 per hour.
  • Full Time: 39 hours per week working 5 days out of 7 and alternative weekends.
  • Part time: 20 hours weekly, working 5 days out of 7 and 3 out of 4 weekends.
  • Working hours for this role are 6am to 9pm.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

  • Ability to prioritise and organise your workload swiftly and with attention to detail.
  • Experience in utilising technical equipment to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • You are prepared to act on your own initiative and to participate in group efforts.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

  • You will manually handle heavy stock, receiving goods, picking, packing orders and keeping accurate records of stock movements.
  • You will break down deliveries into customer orders to be loaded onto vans for last mile delivery.
  • Driving the IKEA van to set areas on IKEA premises.
  • Working with or around heavy machinery, such as Forklift trucks, counterbalance, pump trucks, to safely and efficiently transport heavy goods within the warehouse.
  • You will keep your area clear following good housekeeping practices, safety protocols and regulations ensuring a secure environment.
  • You will be manually handling all of our products ranging from LACK Coffee Tables to flat packed PAX Wardrobes.
