IKEA Manchester is a vibrant retail unit and we have a fantastic opportunity for an In‑centre Facilities Manager on a permanent, full‑time basis.   • 39 hours per week (5 days), including weekend work on a rotational basis.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

  • General knowledge of Facilities Management and ability to deliver and organise hard and soft services.
  • Openness to new sustainable solutions affecting energy consumption, emissions, waste, and chemicals.
  • Inspiration to orchestrate people in a changing multi‑dimensional environment and collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Expertise in contract and supplier management and work order management for urgent, planned, reactive maintenance.
  • People management, end‑to‑end project management, retail FM experience and budget/supplier oversight.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

  • Manage all FM aspects of the store to optimise value and efficiency sustainably.
  • Implement Ingka FM within the store through the Unit FM team.
  • Responsible for each property throughout its lifetime: safety, compliance, maintenance, improvement.
  • Ensure awareness of FM frameworks, guidelines, initiatives.
  • Asset management, long‑term planning, budgeting, implementation, forecasting, reporting.
  • Implement and evaluate supplier contracts at store level, aligning with internal governance.
  • Provide effective leadership, empower co‑workers, develop skills, secure succession planning.
