IKEA Greenwich are looking to welcome a Visual Merchandiser to our team! In IKEA we call this a Visual Merchandising/Activity Co-worker. We are looking for a creative, detail-focused person to boost our store's visual appeal and increase sales. As a Visual Merchandiser, you will be responsible for arranging merchandise to highlight key products and ensuring our store layout is both attractive and functional. If designing home interiors excites you, you notice small design details, and you perform well under changing demands, we would be interested in speaking with you!

WHAT WE OFFER
  • The Start Date of employment will be at the beginning of May.
  • Starting salary of £30,290 based on competence and experience.
  • 39 Hours working 5 days per week, shifts will be from 7AM - 3:30PM. This role will include occasional evening and weekend shifts to meet business needs.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE
  • You have a qualification in a relevant creative field.
  • A working knowledge in design software such as Autodesk REVIT, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office, is essential.
  • You appreciate home furnishings, interior design, and how people live, and you’re able to craft new ideas that resonate with customers.
  • You are comfortable using various hand tools and at ease working at heights.
  • You can handle different situations and are able to efficiently manage your time when working to meet agreed deadlines.
  • A creative spirit complemented by commercial understanding and visual skills, with a keen sense of composition and aesthetics.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
  • Use visual merchandising competence to highlight the uniqueness of the IKEA identity in range presentation solutions in the store by working with store layout, range presentation and vitality.
  • Understanding the local market to plan and implement relevant, inspiring, affordable, and commercially effective range presentation solutions that reflect diverse styles and price points, satisfy many individual tastes, and delight our visitors.
  • Collaborate with the Com&In team and other functions, act quickly to exploit commercial opportunities and understand the impact of actions on the financial results.
  • Working with the commercial calendar to implement range changes. Maintaining the shop floor/ensuring displays ready for customer to browse/hands on approach.
