IKEA Brighton are looking to welcome Store Assistants to create our new store team! Join our team at the innovative new Brighton store as a store assistant, where you'll play a key role in creating a remarkable shopping experience for our guests. In this role, no two days are the same! This role is all about selling, ensuring our guests leave feeling satisfied with their purchase and inspired by IKEA. WHAT WE OFFER

  • The Start Date of employment will be: Week beginning 14th July.
  • Competitive hourly rate of £13.25 per hour.
  • We have many contract options available ranging from 16 to 39 hours per week, with shift patterns being during the day, evenings and weekends.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

  • You have a straightforward approach, enjoy handling several tasks at once, and are committed to being part of the team but also can manage your own workload efficiently.
  • You have a customer first mindset and enjoy the versatility of working in a different area each day, making the customer feel valued and supported in everything you do.
  • You are computer literate and able to work with technology.
  • You prioritise and organise your own work to make efficient use of the time available with thorough attention to detail.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

  • You provide a memorable shopping experience for our customers working across various departments throughout the day, supporting store guests to find the most suitable solutions for their life at home.
  • You are always curious about the range, wanting to learn the stories behind the products and their design.
  • You support maximising sales by ensuring your areas of responsibility are clean, fully stocked, all products priced, well presented and easy to shop. Some products may involve heavy lifting.
  • You will use the IKEA vision of a better everyday life at home and prioritise the guests by interacting with guests and promoting products to align with their needs.

RECRUITMENT PROCESS INFORMATION

  • Shortlisted candidates will be invited by email to attend an assessment centre week beginning the 23rd June 2025.
  • The training plan for each co-worker will include a period of training prior to the store opening where travel to another IKEA Store will be organised and fully covered by IKEA.
  • This ensures that any travel will not create any personal expenses and we will create as much flexibility as possible to suit individual needs.
