Store Assistant

Overview

IKEA Glasgow is looking for Store Assistants to join our dedicated team. Full time and part time positions are available.

What We Offer

• Start date: 29th November
• Competitive hourly rate of £12.60 per hour.
• Contracts ranging from 12 to 39 hours per week, 3–5 days including weekends
• Working hours between 7 am to 9:30 pm, with flexibility to be discussed.

Requirements

• Background in hospitality, warehouse, customer service or sales (preferred but not essential).
• Positive, multi‑tasking attitude and ability to work independently.
• Customer‑first mindset, enthusiastic about varied daily tasks.
• Computer literacy; ability to work with technology.
• Strong prioritisation, organisation and attention to detail.

Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities

• Enhance customer experience across all areas: shop floor, warehouse fulfilment, click & collect, and replenishment.
• Act as a key point of contact for customers throughout their visit.
• Show passion for the range, learn stories behind products and designs.
• Support sales by keeping areas clean, accurately priced and well presented.
• Safe manual handling, operating pump trucks and ladders.
