IKEA Sheffield are expanding our home delivery operation and have exciting opportunities for Drivers Mate to join our growing team. As a Driver\’s Mate, you will support the Drivers to ensure the on-time delivery of IKEA goods to customers in the local area while delivering a high level of service.
What we offer
- The Start Date of employment will be: 8 February 2026
- Salary: £29,696 per annum, based on competence & prior experience
- Hours: 39 per week, rolling pattern of 4 days on, 2 days off (including weekends). Shifts between 06:00 and 19:00.

What you’ll need to have
- You aim to deliver a quality experience, are prepared to step up and problem solve when things aren’t right
- You take Health & Safety seriously and are comfortable risk assessing your environment
- You are attentive to details, especially checks on your vehicle
- You have experience working with GPS, maps and hand-held scanning devices
What you’ll be doing day to day
- Support the Driver to complete vehicle safety checks and take appropriate action
- Assist in loading goods into the vehicle in a safe and organised manner, ensuring the delivery route matches the goods for maximum efficiency
- Deliver goods to customers’ homes and take them into a nominated room, carrying out risk assessments on location to prevent injury and damage to property
- Communicate with customers in person and over the phone to provide a positive customer service experience
- Handle a range of furniture items, from LACK Coffee Tables to PAX Wardrobes
