Join our dynamic team as a Unit Business Risk & Compliance Specialist in our IKEA Brighton Store! In this exciting role, you\’ll champion risk-aware decision-making, ensuring a safe and secure environment for our customers and co-workers. You\’ll leverage your expertise in Ingka Rules and local legislation, provide essential training, and foster a proactive Risk & Compliance culture. Your efforts will help us detect, analyse, and mitigate risks, driving continuous improvement and safeguarding our business. WHAT WE OFFER
• The Start Date of employment will be 25th August 2025
• Competitive starting salary of £29,790 per annum, based on competence and experience.
• 39 Hours working 5 days per week, including day shift, evenings and 2 weekends per month.

• Comprehensive knowledge of national and local legal demands related to risk management, health, safety, and security, as well as relevant processes, tools, and methods.
• Demonstrated understanding of the Ingka Group Risk & Compliance Framework, combined with a deep understanding of IKEA’s business model, values, and customer-centric approach, enabling the delivery of continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strongly aligned with IKEA\’s culture and values, with a deep passion for the business and its unique ethos. Enthusiastic about fostering a people-focused environment and achieving results through the organization, while establishing a Risk & Compliance aware culture.
• Highly motivated to enhance personal knowledge and skills in Risk & Compliance to support the unit\’s growth and success, preferably in a retail environment but not essential.
WHAT YOU\’LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
• Promote risk management within the unit by sharing expertise and information to foster risk-aware decision-making aligned with unit goals and the business plan.
• Provide expert support on Ingka Rules and local (country and regional) legislation to ensure a safe environment for customers and co-workers.
• Plan and provide necessary training for co-workers and external partners to align with IKEA\’s/Ingka\’s risk appetite.
• Foster a Risk & Compliance culture by developing leadership and a proactive approach to identifying and implementing systems that detect, analyze, and mitigate business loss, financial impact, and prevent incidents and accidents.
• Ensure accurate reporting of relevant figures, such as co-worker, customer, and visitor incidents, to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
