IKEA Exeter are looking to welcome a Night Warehouse Operative to join our hard-working Fulfilment team. Contract of 30 hours a week, with earliest shift times at midnight (12:00am) and latest finishing times at 10:00am. This role will also involve weekend work, ordinarily 3 in 4 weekends.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • Competitive hourly rate of £12.60 per hour.
  • Additional nightshift allowance of £2.25 an hour for hours worked between 22:00pm and 06:00am.
  • Additional forklift allowance of £1.50 an hour for hours worked when operating a forklift, should you wish to operate a forklift (training provided).

YOU NEED TO HAVE

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and organise workload efficiently, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proven experience in using technical equipment to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Self-reliant and motivated, capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • An eagerness to get stuck in, learn on the job and work together in a team environment.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

  • You ensure products are available to customers by ensuring tasks in your area are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Operate and work around other heavy machinery, such as other forklift trucks, counterbalance, and pump trucks, to safely and efficiently transport heavy goods within the warehouse.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a secure environment for both customers and co-workers.
  • Replenishment of the store, operating the forklift should you wish to and there is a business need to allow for this, to make sure all the shelves are full and ready for our customers.
  • Responsible for loading and unloading of the deliveries.
