We at IKEA Sheffield are looking to welcome Sales Assistants to the sales team! Join our team as a Sales Assistant and be the welcoming face that helps customers find exactly what they need! This is a busy role perfect for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives during busy shifts, and takes pride in delivering reliable customer service. You'll play a key part in creating a welcoming shopping experience, offering product advice, and keeping the store looking its best. WHAT WE OFFER
The Start Date of employment will be: 2nd October 2026. Competitive hourly rate of 13.45 per hour. 8, 12, 16, 20 & 24 hours per week contracts, working 2, 3, 4 or 5 days per week (dependant on contract size), working 3 out of 4 weekends per month. Availability from 8.00am-10.00pm. We can discuss flexibility to match your life and our business needs during the interview, for example weekend only contracts.

YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE
Experience in a fast-moving, customer-facing environment would be a great advantage. Confident using computers and digital tools, with the ability to pick up new IKEA systems and processes with ease. You have a customer first mindset, where you make the customer feel valued and supported in everything you do. You take initiative, make well-informed choices, and engage with your daily tasks. Prioritise and organise your own work to make efficient use of the time available with great attention to detail. Ready to safely lift, condense, and replenish stock so that we are always customer ready.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
Provide an inspirational shopping experience for our customers by actively approaching them to identify their needs and advising them on the best solutions for their life at home. Motivated by the range, curious to learn the stories behind the products and their design. You support sales by ensuring your area of responsibility is clean, fully stocked, all products priced, well presented and easy to shop. Manual handling and heavy lifting of various stock safely.
