IKEA Milton Keynes are looking to welcome a Graphic Communication Leader. A Graphic Leader at IKEA leads the in‐store graphic communication, ensuring clear signage, strong visual storytelling, and consistent use of the IKEA brand to help customers navigate, understand products, and feel inspired, while managing and developing the graphic team.

WHAT WE OFFER
  • The Start Date of employment will be: 27th February
  • Starting salary of £31,130 based on competence and experience.
  • 39 Hours working 5 days over 7 starting times can be between 6.30am and 7.30am and you will work every second weekend. Along with one late evening per week.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE
  • Education and experience in graphic communication design, media and typography. Computer proficient with knowledge and experience of using graphic design software (Adobe Creative Suite) and production tools.
  • Strong leadership experience in a retail environment inspiring, leading and developing people in a creative process, with a customer focused mindset.
  • You are excited about home furnishings, design and how people live, and have the ability to generate new ideas to inspire our customers.
  • Proven ability to prioritise and organise work and the work of others in order to make the most efficient use of available time and meet agreed goals and deadlines.
  • Clear communication and coaching skills with the ability to explain concepts verbally and with visual interpretation.
  • You have a hands-on approach, feeling at ease working with various hand tools and comfortable working at heights.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
  • Lead, inspire and challenge the store team to strengthen the uniqueness and consistency of the IKEA identity in store communication.
  • Secure high standards for good visual balance and consistency, quality and simplicity, cost-efficiency and sustainability in producing and implementing all store communication.
  • Develop, implement and evaluate store communication strategies by using the knowledge about life at home and shopping behaviour in the local market. Generate creative directions that inspire and surprise store visitors through the IKEA visual and verbal identity.
  • Set clear expectations and standards regarding routines and responsibilities, work together with the store team to act quickly to exploit commercial opportunities and understand the impact of your actions on the financial results.
