We are expanding our home delivery operation in IKEA Belfast and have exciting opportunities to join our growing team as Driver's Mates! As a Driver's Mate, you will shape a new area in our business, supporting the Drivers to ensure the on-time delivery of IKEA goods to customers in the local area whilst delivering a high level of service. Due to health & safety you must be 18 years of age or older.

- The Start Date of employment will be: 27th June 2026
- Hourly rate of £13.45.
- Full Time: 39 hours per week working 4 days out of 7.
- Working hours are between 7am to 9pm.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

- You are attentive to details especially when it comes to performing checks on your vehicle.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
- You will support the Driver to complete vehicle safety checks and take appropriate action.
- Contacting customers with upcoming delivery schedules.
- You will assist in loading goods into the vehicle in a safe and organised manner ensuring the delivery route matches the goods for maximum efficiency.
- You will deliver goods to customers' homes and take them into a nominated room, carrying out risk assessments on location to prevent injury and damage to property.
- You will communicate with the customer both in person and over the phone to provide a positive customer service experience.
- You will be required to handle a range of furniture items.
- In this role you will do up to 3 delivery runs per day, you will be responsible for the loading and unloading of the van for each of these. The load capacity of the van is 1.4 tonnes.
