- Following work briefs agreed with colleagues to implement all store media, such as wall constructions, podiums, fixtures, floor laying, painting and the building of complex furniture installations.
- Planning and ordering materials and resources, ensuring accurate costs are sought and agreed in order to maximise efficiency and minimise costs.
- Working with your colleagues to make sure the store is always in excellent shape to inspire our customers.
- Focus on key tasks to meet the needs and expectations of store visitors and minimise disruption when working on the shop floor
- Be conscious of the importance of safety at all times while working on the shop floor and take fast action when safety is compromised.

Qualification in Carpentry NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Wood Occupations/Site Carpentry is essential, or an equivalent qualification (such as an HND or NVQ in Carpentry). - Previous carpentry experience gained in a commercial or retail environment, ideally retail fit-out or from exhibition installations, with good attention to detail.
- You are excited about home furnishings, design and how people live, and have the ability to generate new ideas to inspire our customers.
- Proven ability to prioritise and organise your workload in order to make the most efficient use of available time and meet agreed goals and deadlines.
- Clear communication with the ability to explain concepts verbally and with visual interpretation.
- Due to Health and Safety, you must be 18 years old or over for this role.

- The Start Date of employment can be discussed at interview.
- Starting salary of £28,120 per annum, based on competence and experience, which we can discuss at interview.
- 39 hours a week, working Monday to Friday.
Ordinarily, shifts will start at 06:00am in the morning until 14:30pm - this is to allow you to complete tasks on the shopfloor prior to customers coming in.

- This role will include occasional night shifts and weekend working in line with the IKEA commercial calendar.
