IKEA Exeter are looking to welcome Food and Beverage Assistants to join our delightful and hardworking team. If you are looking for a long-term career in food and hospitality, and the opportunity to work somewhere fast-paced and busy, this is an ideal opportunity for you. We have contracts ranging from 12 to 20 hours a week in our Swedish Food Market/Bistro and Customer Restaurant. The main thing is that you enjoy working in a fast-paced role, serving our many customers - especially at busy times such as over the weekend. Please note our contracts are all permanent, there is an expectation you can work over our summer 'peak' period.
WHAT WE OFFER
- Hourly rate of £12.60 per hour.
- Availability to work 3 in 4 weekends, as well as a combination of pre-arranged shifts that may include mornings (opens), during the day, and store closing (latest shift ending time would be 21:00pm) is required.
- We can discuss flexibility to match your life and our business needs during the interview.
- Induction date will be Saturday and Sunday, 12 and 13 July.
These are permanent contracts and there is an expectation you can work through the year, including over the summer period when our store is busy.

YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE
- Prior food and customer service experience is a plus, but not required if you are hands-on and willing to roll up your sleeves.
- Ability to work in an extremely fast-paced environment.
- Be self-reliant and motivated, ready to work independently and as part of our team.
- Ability to remain organised and detail-orientated, even when things get busy.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
- You will take payment at tills, clean and clear the restaurant and customer areas, ensuring stock is displayed and ready to purchase in our Swedish Food Market.
- You will support your colleagues, lend a hand, and foster a positive work environment, contributing to a happy team.
- You will be communicating directly with customers, ensuring they receive an efficient, friendly and warm dining experience.
- You will ensure all safety protocols and regulations are followed for a secure environment for both our customers and co-workers.
