IKEA Exeter are looking to welcome a Graphic Communication Leader to join our amazing Communication and Interior Design team. This is a permanent, full‑time role. We’re seeking a Graphic Communication Leader who can deliver visually compelling work with speed, precision, and creative excellence. You’ll drive projects and work to deadlines, ensuring in‑store communications are relevant and timely, and consistent with the IKEA Culture, Values and Brand. WHAT WE OFFER
- Full‑time, 39 hours a week working 5 days out of 7. You will work alternate weekends (1 on, 1 off) as part of this role.
- This role offers a salary starting from £29,250 per annum based on competence and experience.
- We operate 7 days a week to meet the shopping needs of our customers. This role will require availability to work during the day, late evenings, and full weekends.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE
- Proven leadership experience is essential.
- Education and experience in graphic communication design, media and typography.
- Prior experience using Adobe Suite, including Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator.
- Proven success in managing, inspiring, leading and developing people and creative processes.
- Clear communication and coaching skills, i.e. the ability to explain concepts verbally and visual interpretation.
- Proven experience in setting and implementing action plans, provide clear direction and follow up goals.
- Proven ability to prioritise and organise work and the work of others in order to make the most efficient use of available time and meet agreed goals and deadlines.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
- Lead, inspire and challenge the Communication & Interior Design team and other functions in the store to strengthen the uniqueness and consistency of the IKEA identity in store communication.
- Lead the process of planning and implementing store communication to ensure that it conveys the benefits of the IKEA Concept, completes and enhances range presentation by using proven solutions, best practices, guidelines and national directions.
- Develop, implement and evaluate store communication strategies that support a convenient shopping experience by using the knowledge about life at home and shopping behaviour in the local market.
- Actively support in developing the department action plan with store communication initiatives that are focused on growing the business and support long‑term profitability and execute agreed plans in close co‑operation with other functions.
- Set clear expectations and standards regarding routines and responsibilities, work together with the Communication & Interior team and other store functions, act quickly to exploit commercial opportunities and understand the impact of your actions on the financial results.
- Secure high standards for good visual balance and consistency, quality and simplicity, cost‑efficiency and sustainability in producing and implementing all store communication.
- You will take central communication packs and implement them in‑store adapting them to the local market when necessary.
