IKEA Edinburgh are looking to welcome new Warehouse Assistants to join our team. In IKEA we call these Fulfilment Operations Co-workers. Are you ready to help things run smoothly? Join our Outbound team and support our customers' shopping experience. Whether you are working face-to-face with customers in the store warehouse or behind the scenes in our external warehouse, you'll ensure our customers leave the store with the right products at the right time. WHAT WE OFFER

  • The Start Date of employment will be: 26th September 2026
  • This role offers an hourly rate of £13.45
  • Full-time: 39 hours per week, working 5 out of 7 days, weekend on/weekend off.
  • Part-time: 24 hours weekly, working 4 days out of 7 and 3 out of 4 weekends.
  • Working hours are between 7am-9:15pm. We can discuss flexibility to match your life and our business needs during the interview.

Please be aware that the IKEA Edinburgh Store is located outside of the city and links by public transport may be infrequent. If you will be using public transport to get to the store we ask you to consider your transport route before you apply.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

  • Ability to prioritise and organise your workload swiftly and with attention to detail.
  • Experience in utilising technical equipment to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • You are prepared to act on your own initiative and to participate in group efforts.
  • You are comfortable using computers and handheld devices to support with the picking/filling of stock or to answer customer questions.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

  • You will be required to manually handle all of our products ranging from LACK Coffee Tables to PAX Wardrobes.
  • Working with or around heavy machinery, such as Forklift trucks, counterbalance, pump trucks, to safely and efficiently transport heavy goods within the warehouse.
  • Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are followed for a secure environment for both our customers and co-workers.
  • Picking and checking customer orders across the store ready for delivery or click and collect.
  • Handing out orders in our click and collect area.
