About the Role
We are expanding our home delivery operation and have exciting opportunities to join our growing team as Delivery Drivers! As a Delivery Driver, you will shape a new area in our business, ensuring the on‑time delivery of IKEA goods to customers in the local area whilst delivering a high level of service.
Compensation and Working Hours
- The Start Date of employment will be: 15th March 2026
- This role offers a salary of £28,500 per annum, based on competence & prior experience.
- 39 Hours per week, 4 days out of 7, including evenings and weekends. Working hours will support the needs of the business.

Qualifications
- You must have held a full UK driver’s licence for a minimum of 24 months.

- You are attentive to details, especially when it comes to performing checks on your vehicle.

Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
- Complete vehicle safety checks and take appropriate action.
- Load goods into the vehicle safely and organised, ensuring you are set up to meet allocated timings for each delivery.
- Deliver goods to customers' homes and take them into a nominated room, carrying out risk assessments on location to prevent injury and damage to property.
- Handle a range of furniture items using safe manual‑handling practices, employing one and two person lifting as required.
- Efficiently manage the collection and processing of returned products, ensuring compliance with IKEA's returns policy.
- Make up to three delivery runs per day, responsible for the loading and unloading of the van for each run. The van's load capacity is 1.4 tonnes.
