IKEA Gateshead are looking to welcome a Customer Service Assistant to join our fantastic team.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • The Start Date of employment will be: 29th June 2025
  • Competitive hourly rate of £12.60 per hour.
  • 12 hours working Saturday and Sunday with availability to work a weekday evening where required, 3 out of 4 weekends per month.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

  • You prefer to take initiative, are adept at managing several responsibilities concurrently, and value teamwork while also being able to complete assignments without direct supervision.
  • You have a customer first mindset, where you make the customer feel valued and supported in everything you do.
  • You are computer literate and able to work with technology.
  • The ability to maintain composure and patience when dealing with a variety of customers and complex complaints.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

  • Working on our checkouts and returns desk to support our customers in a timely manner.
  • You will use your knowledge and problem-solving skills to resolve customer complaints, dealing positively and quickly with any issues raised.
  • You ensure accurate handling of all returned products, highlighting and escalating any product issues immediately.
  • Supporting customers experiencing difficulties in product assembly and where needed be able to order and exchange spare parts.
